ABOUT NIGHTGOWNS

NightGowns is a drag revue founded by Sasha Velour in 2015. In the last 10 years, it has become one of the most esteemed drag shows in the world, with shows that sell out in minutes, and online audiences in every country.

In its first 5 years, the showcase transferred from a local bar (Bizarre Bushwick) to National Sawdust in Williamsburg to the Connelly Theater Off-Broadway and Terminal 5 in Manhattan. It also toured to Los Angeles (Ace Hotel) and London (Clapham Grand).

In 2020, NightGowns was adapted into a docu-series that was directed by Sophie Muller and The Documentary Group. In 2021, the cast self-produced two original NightGowns films—“NightGowns Forever” (an anthology of past shows) and “NightGowns The Musical” (an original comedy performed Off-Broadway in June, 2021).

Since 2023, NightGowns has been in residency at le poisson rouge in New York’s Greenwich Village. The show celebrated 10-years of performances in August 2025 with a string of 7 sold-out shows at the bastion ofdowntown performance art, La MaMa ETC.

At every show, the NightGowns cast helps to raise thousands of dollars for direct mutual aid for LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and Palestinians in Gaza.

MEANINGFUL PARTNERSHIP

Support from our sponsors is life-changing for us. It helps House of Velour to continue to produce the show at the highest level and offer our performers and staff fees that allow them to bring the biggest and boldest art. Alongside celebrating the immense talent of New York drag, sponsorship also helps to bring in world-class artists from around the globe.

We look forward to collaborating on creative ways to meaningfully integrate the sponsor’s message and branding into the show and online through social media and video.

Brand INtegration Strategies:

-Branded content created by SV for sponsor to be shared on socials
-Brand community members visit the show and speak with Sasha on (or off) stage to create content that can be released by both parties
-Sponsor message shared by artists on mic during live show (and in YouTube broadcast)
-Sponsor activation in lobby
-Product giveaway at shows
-Sponsor logo on posters
-Sponsor name in event description, tagged on socials.
-Audience sign-up with sponsor for chance to win 2 tickets to sold-out shows.
-Sponsor ads played at the show and during the broadcast (can create custom in Velourian style)

The AV Club

“Velour and her Nightgowns family want to remind us to imagine the world as it could be—a place where differences are celebrated and drag is venerated.”
V Magazine

“Sasha Velour isn’t leading the drag revolution alone… [she is] still spreading the wealth across the ever-evolving industry, playing mother to a disparate family of drag entertainers who are primed to, quite frankly, fuck up the status quo.”
